  • Louise and Ian's Wedding at Mulberry House in Ongar

Louise and Ian married at the gorgeous Mulberry House in August this year. Their wedding was so chilled out and involved lots of kids including their own two, Bobby and Rosie, which is always so nice to see at weddings. Louise's Ellis Bridal dress is absolutely stunning! So elegant with such beautiful detail on the back. Easily one of my favourite dresses I've seen this year! Louise went for a lilac-blue and pink theme throughout for the styling which is perfect for a summer wedding. I am in LOVE with the flowers she had by the Willows Flowers. And the lilac-blue bridesmaids dresses are to die for. Rosie had the cutest little pink dress with floral detailing that she couldn't wait to wear! Bobby also had a matching suit with the groomsmen which was super cute. He looked so grown up! The day flowed and everything was so chilled at this Mulberry House wedding. Everyone had such a laugh and enjoyed the summer sunshine. It was the perfect summer wedding vibe. After the wedding breakfast, the guests retired back into the gardens for evening drinks as the sun went down. The kids absolutely love Mulberry House because there is so much space for them to run and play. After the first dance, the party kicked off and everyone danced the night away! It was perfect, and I am so, so happy for this lovely family and to have shared such a fantastic day with them. Also, you HAVE to check out the cake by Lisa at Cake Cuisine! It's AMAZING! Goes perfectly with the Alice in Wonderland theme. • Intimate Wedding at Brentwood Registry Office

Jo and John had a very intimate wedding back in August, with just a few friends and family present. Small weddings can be deeply personal and special. I love the idea of having a small and intimate wedding as it allow you to spend the most important day of your life with just those who matter most to you. There's more time for the bride and groom to spend with their guests and they get to make it extra special for them because they don't have a huge mass of people to cater for. Whether you plan it on small budget or indulge in a more lavish day with your carefully chosen guests, an intimate wedding can be exquisite and highly memorable when you plan it well. Jo and John married at Brentwood Registry Office and it was a beautifully simple ceremony. It's weddings like these that make me realise its all about making a commitment to one another to share the rest of your lives together. And at the end of the day nothing else matters! I was truly touched by the ceremony and feel really lucky to have met such a genuine, loving couple. Their happiness and laughter is so infectious and I loved every minute of working with them! Here are a few words from Jo herself: "Danielle is very friendly, approachable and down-to-earth. Within minutes we both felt completely at ease and as if we'd known Danielle for years. Having our photos taken was really good fun - it was a real pleasure having her there! She is very creative with a real flair for taking beautifully artistic, natural shots. But she doesn't make a fuss about it - she's friendly, informal and very easy to work with and that means she gets the best out of you and your guests."

  • Summer Wedding at Old Brook Barn, Essex

When I first met with Jo and Dave last year I was really excited that they understood and appreciated my style of photographing and it seemed to be exactly what they were looking for! Dream come true for every wedding photographer! They married at their local St John's Church in Havering-Atte-Bower back in July. They were lucky enough to have a scorcher of a day which was perfect for their chosen reception venue; The Old Brook Barn, just down the road with it's beautiful gardens and outdoor space. As you'll see they put an awful lot of effort into all the handmade details and personal touches of the wedding which I am also a huge fan of. Great wedding inspo here for future brides! • Summer Garden Wedding at Houchins, Essex

In July Chris and Cristina got married at the stunning St Peter's Church in Coggeshall and the reception took place at the wonderful Houchins. It's the first time I have worked at this venue and I absolutely fell in love with it's beauty! I cannot wait to work there again next year! I loved the natural feel of the wedding with lots of flowers and herbs decorating the place and so much thought had gone into all the little details and entertainment for the children and adults. We were also lucky enough to gain access to the beautiful blue field of flowers behind Houchins, which was absolutely stunning when the sun was going down! I had a great time working with Cristina and Chris throughout their wedding experience, they are such fun to be around and their friends and family were a pleasure. I honestly feel lucky to get to work with people like these two. Check out their photos... • Rustic Barn Wedding at Maidens Barn, Chelmsford

Back in June this year Jon and Anna married at the lovely St Edward's Church in Romford and then went on to their Maidens Barn wedding reception in Chelmsford. Their friends and families were so awesome and welcoming, they made me feel like one of them. Everything about the day was perfect, from the beautiful wedding venues to the ceremony to the music and even the weather held off for them! The day began at Anna's family home in Romford where her parents welcomed me and the bridesmaids were getting excited about their bestie's big day. The morning was so chilled and I had such a laugh with the girls getting to know them and documenting the process. Anna looked INCREDIBLE in her David Tutera dress and lace top. She was so chilled all morning and not worried about a thing. As the day continued I documented all the details and special moments. It was so lovely to get know everyone and see some familiar faces from younger days. The party went on to celebrate at the gorgeous rustic barn wedding venue- Maidens Barn in Chelmsford. What I love about Maidens Barn is that it is such a nice intimate setting for a wedding. It is all so well contained and all your guests can congregate together in the gardens or inside the barn. Either way they are all close together and it keeps the atmosphere of the day close and warm. It's one of my favourite Essex wedding venues. I absolutely LOVED the pastel coloured, romantic flowers that Shrinking Violet created for this rustic barn wedding. From the gorgeous bouquet to the cake topper to the jars of flowers all over the tables. It was stunning! Oh and if you're thinking of getting married at Maidens Barn - besides the lovely staff and stunning rust barn wedding setting- they serve THE most delicious trio of desserts! Obviously an important factor when planning your wedding! At least for me, food is life! haha Here are some of my fav moments from the day... • Pre-Wedding Garden Photo Shoot in Kent

A pre-wedding photo shoot is the perfect way to get in some practice couple portraits before the big day. My style of photography is very natural and unposed, but even still the thought of being photographed by a professional photographer can be daunting. I completely get it! Cameras are scary and you feel pressure and awkward as soon as it comes out. Fear not! This session is designed to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. It's more about us getting to know each other a bit better before the wedding day, so that when it comes to it, we have already built a relationship and feel more like friends. I love chatting to my couples about their wedding plans and ideas and hearing more about them and how they're going to make their wedding day their own. Once we have broken down that initial barrier of being complete strangers, it becomes so much more comfortable for you guys and it also helps me get to know more about who you are and how you connect with each other. Connection is really important in pre-wedding photography. This is what I am looking for. It's what I need to photograph to really capture the essence of your relationship in your wedding photos. I tend to focus on the natural way that you intertwine with your partner, that you might not even be aware of. It needs to be authentic to you so that it reflects your connection. For this informal garden pre-wedding shoot, Lauren and Frankie invited me to check out their private wedding venue in Edenbridge in Kent. I didn't know what to expect as it is a friend's family private home who has kindly offered to host the lucky couple's wedding reception in the grounds. But when I saw it.... WOW!! It is absolutely stunning and has so much opportunity to capture Lauren and Frankie's connection in so many gorgeous locations within the grounds. It's safe to say that I am VERY excited to be capturing this special day on Saturday!

  • Pre-wedding Photo Session - Priory Park, Southend

It was so great to finally meet this gorgeous couple! Lucy and Dean decided make good use of their local park in Southend for their pre-wedding session. And what a great choice it was! What a gorgeous location, particularly at this time of year with all the flowers in full bloom. Lucy and Dean are such a laid back pair and I can tell they are up for lots of fun! Which is why I'm double-excited for their wedding at Crondon Park on New Years Eve this year! Looking forward to capturing lots of special memories for you guys. Good luck with the planning! Here are some other cool locations for pre-wedding photography in Southend on Sea: 1. Adventure Island- obviously! How much fun would it be to have a pre-wedding photo shoot in the theme park?! The rides and attractions would make such a good backdrop, plus we could capture some really authentic moments of you having the best time on some of them! 2. Southend Pier. Being the longest pier in the world, this is quite a landmark for a pre-wedding photography session. With some incredible views out to sea as well as looking back at the mainland from the end of it, we could capture some awesome scenery here. 3. Visit Old Leigh. The charming and quaint little town of Leigh is just beautiful. Enjoy a stroll down by the beach, grab some fish and chips from and enjoy an ice cream as the sun sets. Perfection. 4. Southend Beach and amusements. Hit the arcades and have some fun on the games then grab a hot chocolate and chill on the beach. What more could you want?! There are so many places we could photograph your pre-wedding session in and around Southend. I'd love to hear your ideas. Give me a shout and we can talk plans!

  • Barn Wedding in Purfleet, Essex

When Rachel and James got in touch to inquire about booking their wedding photography with me, I was so excited! We met and discussed their ideas and feelings about the style of photography they like and I knew they were the perfect clients for me! I LOVE it when that happens! They married at High House Barns in Purfleet on 29th May 2016. I've not worked at High House Barns before, but I can say that it's a very friendly venue with beautiful barns and gorgeous gardens which are great for photos! Rachel was so excited in the morning that I remember her hairdresser keep telling her off for moving around too much! Her dress was absolutely stunning and very different from anything else I've seen. Such beautiful detailing on the back. James' Mum put together all the flowers and what a wonderful job she did. They were absolutely stunning and really finished off the girls look and put the finishing touches on the venue. Rachel being a very talented opera singer (WOW?!) also sang a few songs at the beginning of the evening, which was so lovely to hear and see and blew everyone away. It was such a personal touch to the evening and I enjoyed capturing all of it! Then the first dance happened and the dancing began! Here is a short story of their beautiful day... • Kai- Lifestyle Newborn Shoot

I absolutely love to photograph lifestyle baby and family sessions in the family home. It's such an authentic way of remembering those early days with your new baby, what life was like at home and your baby's little features and cheeky traits at this stage. The style I aim to achieve is very storytelling- so it involves doing everyday activities that you normally do with your baby - lots of cuddles, snuggles, kisses, feeding and playtime. As a family photographer I want to record the things that you want to remember. Real moments. No bright studio lights. Just 100% natural light. No fancy clothes. No poses or forced smiles. I love to document your baby's messy bed hair, mis-matched clothes and chocolate covered faces, cheeky grins and cuddles in bed. All of these moments matter. And these are things you will miss most when your tiny baby has grown up. I want to photograph these natural moments for you to relive over and over again. When your memories begin to fade, these moments will be preserved forever. Charlene and Jay were looking for a local lifestyle photographer and I was so excited to capture the magic of them enjoying their family time with their new son - Kai. I got to focus on and document real-life type moments with them and their little one. Kai was an absolute darling and I loved getting to meet him and his lucky Mummy and Daddy. Here are some words from Charlene herself: "We loved the opportunity to capture these precious moments! It has been such a whirlwind over the past few months and so just taking the time to enjoy how small Kai is now was brilliant. Danielle was warm and friendly and instantly put us at ease! We didn't feel rushed at any point and Danielle was great at coaxing smiles out of our little one. We were terribly slow at responding to emails and texts but Danielle was patient and understood how difficult it can be." And here are some of my favourite images from Kai's session. I'd love to know your thoughts on this style of baby and family lifestyle photography...

  • Lifestyle Baby Photography Session - Chelmsford

What is lifestyle baby photography? Lifestyle baby photography is all about capturing everyday activities in your natural environment. It's all about the connection and love that family members have for this new life. Why have a lifestyle baby photography session? A lifestyle session is such a real and honest way of capturing such a precious time in your lives. This time with your little baby will fly by so quickly and before you know it, they will be grown up and doing their own thing. Cherish that time and remember it with authentic photographs that will last forever and remind you of how you felt and all those cheeky smiles and character traits your little one had at that age. Where are lifestyle baby photography sessions held? It's important that these sessions are held at your home- your everyday environment. These lifestyle sessions are meant to be a snippet of real life so that you can look back at your photographs and remember those early days with your new baby with authenticity. Usually the master bedroom, nursery and living areas work best. What are lifestyle baby photography sessions like? When I arrive, I'll scout out some nice locations around your home for photos. Then we will move around the home together capturing special moments with each family member and the baby, as well as the family all together. It's a very relaxed session with no posing involved. You will do the things you do everyday with your baby- cuddles, kisses, feeding etc. I will simply document the moments. How long do lifestyle baby sessions last? They tend to last between 1.5- 2 hours and we go completely at your little ones speed. So if baby needs feeding/ settling please take your time, there is no rush. What's the process to book? If you wanted to book a lifestyle baby or family photography session you simply need to send me a message with the dates you’d like to book for. Once a date and time have been confirmed the session fees are required to confirm the booking. Following the session, I come back to your home, usually around a week later, to show you the finished images. This is when your viewing and ordering session takes place and you can select which products and images you would like to order from your session. I hope that this answers all of your questions regarding lifestyle baby photography, but please do let me know if you’d like any more information! You can contact me here

  • Pre-Wedding Photo Session, Havering-Atte-Bower

What is a pre-wedding photography session? It's basically an engagement photo shoot - a couples photography session of the two of you being yourselves and enjoying some time together. Why should we have a pre-wedding photography session? The pre-wedding photo shoot is a great way for us to get to know each other better before your wedding day. We spend about an hour on location, chat about your wedding day plans and enjoy the time together. I get to know and understand you more as a couple, who’s cheeky, playful or reserved, and you can get a feel for how I work, giving you confidence and reassurance for the wedding day. This really helps our relationship when it comes to the big day because we will be more like friends, sharing the day and me blending into the background with your guests. The shoot is very relaxed and natural. I allow you to be yourselves and can offer gentle direction and guidance when needed, to get the best out of you and your chosen location. It's important that we capture your true personalties! What location do we photograph the pre-wedding shoot at? The pre-wedding photography session can be at any location you like. I like to encourage couples to choose a location that is personal to them, that they love spending time together, or simply somewhere picturesque like the beach or forest or an urban landscape. Some couples love to have it at home and some choose the location they got engaged at because it's so special to them. Overall we will have fun together and be prepared for your wedding day! It's a nice time for you to spend some time together too, in-between all the craziness of planning the wedding. Jo and Dave chose a local spot nearby the church that they will marry in. They love to spend time there and often go for runs together through the woods so this is a special location for their pre-wedding photography session. With it's beautiful views and natural landscape I can understand why they love to spend time here, it is simply stunning! Here are some of my favourite photographs from Jo and Dave's session...

  • Autumn Engagement Photography Session at St Paul's

Scott and Kathryn chose a gorgeous Autumn day for their London engagement photography session. I joined them at St Paul's Cathedral, where Scott actually proposed to Kathryn! I had such a great time with them exploring the beauty of this busy yet quaint area of London. The weather was a bit risky but actually made for some beautiful autumnal shots. I couldn't wait to photograph their wedding after such a great session together! Thanks for being a blast Scott and Kathryn! I thought this would be a good opportunity to offer you some London engagement photography session tips. So here they are: 1. Location- I love the fact that Scott and Kathryn actually got engaged here so it is very special to them and these photos will be cherished even more for that reason. So choosing a location that holds meaning for you is a great start. It could be somewhere you had your first date, a picnic spot you love or somewhere you love to go for a walk. There are so many beautiful spots in London that would make a great back drop for an engagement photo shoot. 2. Time of year/day. I LOVE seasonal engagement photo shoots. So- winter, all wrapped up in your warm coats, hats and clothes, a gorgeous Autumnal photo shoot like Scott and Kathryn's makes for beautiful orange-yellow tones, or Spring, when the flowers and blossom are popping up and the weather is beginning to become more welcoming. At least a few months prior to your wedding is best. In terms of time of day- late afternoon/ early evening generally has the best soft light. If its an over cast day, any time works great. 3. What to wear. It's important to wear something appropriate to the weather and London engagement session location. Choose something that you feel confident and comfortable in so that you are relaxed throughout the session and can look back on your photos and always love what you're wearing. Try not to bring a handbag with you if you don't want it in the photos, as there will be nowhere to put it in London during the shoot. Keep your essentials minimal so that you don't have stuff bulging out of trouser pockets too! In terms of colours- try to coordinate with your partner, but not completely match. I find neutral colours usually work well but if you love a pop of colour, you should totally go for it!. Try to avoid big logos or slogans though as these can be distracting. 4. Activities. Perhaps there are activities that you can do at your chosen London engagement photo shoot location. Maybe you can hire a boat to row in a London park or have ice cream and a picnic. Think of it as a date! Any ideas you have I'd love to hear. 5. Have fun! First and foremost, this London engagement photography session is about you guys spending time together and having fun. Relax and enjoy the session! Check out some of the images form Scott and Kathryn's autumnal London engagement photo shoot...
