  • Fun Country House Wedding- Martin & Ceri

Martin and Ceri married at Harlow Baptist church last weekend. It was a surprising warm day for early September and it was perfect for the relaxed and fun country house wedding they had planned, with games on the lawn and an amazing sunset. They both got ready at Downhall Country House hotel where the afternoon and evening reception was to be held too. It was a tense morning with the build up to the ceremony and I know Ceri was feeling a little nervous towards the end of the morning preparations! However, when she arrived at the church and walked down the aisle she instantly relaxed when she saw her hubby to be! The ceremony was beautiful and had lots of songs and hymns which is always a lovely touch. The flowers by Luke and Lottie were just stunning and continued back at Downhall too. Also, how sweet are the page boy and flower girl walking down the aisle holding their sign?! All of the kids in the bridal party were so good all day and did all their duties so, so well. Back at the Country House, everyone chilled in the gardens and enjoyed the lawn games which are such a good idea for entertainment. There was also a magician who kept a lot of adults entertained too! I am in love with the travel theme throughout the whole wedding and all the decor. Everything was so well done and all the details and decor were simply beautiful. I hear Martin planned pretty much everything and he did an awesome job at it! Ceri is one very lucky bride and also very relaxed to leave all the planning in his clearly capable hands! The reception looked incredible as you can see! As the evening drew in, the sun began to set and the couple were so lucky to have a warm and beautiful sunset. We couldn't miss the opportunity to go for a walk around the grounds and capture some evening photos of the two of them. Before we knew it, it was time for everyone to hit the dance floor and party the night away! I have to say a huuuge thank you to Sam from Sam and Louise Photography for being an awesome second photographer on the day and for helping out so much. It was also fantastic to work with some friends in the industry and also some lovely new suppliers listed below. Check them out! • Natural Newborn Baby Photos at Home- Sienna

How gorgeous is baby Sienna?! I could just eat her up! And that hair!! So, so adorable. I loved capturing these natural photographs of baby Sienna and Mum and Dad- Pia and Petros, at their home within the first week of Sienna's life. It really is a magical time for any parents and passes so unbelievable quickly! So having been gifted this session by a friend of Pia, it was the perfect opportunity to capture such precious memories of this overwhelming time. Those early days right after you give birth are full of transition, exhaustion and beauty. This is why I feel these lifestyle newborn photography sessions are so important. Newborn babies change literally every single day. You can't keep up with them and it's easy to forget just how tiny and squidgy they once were. These natural sessions take place in your home usually within 2 weeks of birth. Unlike posed newborn baby photography sessions, there are no studio lights, no backdrops, or props. Your newborn baby doesn't have to be asleep for these sessions. It's all about capturing them and life at home, in an authentic way and remembering them as they were at this early stage of life. These lifestyle newborn photography sessions are not completely documentary as I can assist and direct slightly to get the very best out of you for your newborn photography session. But they are designed to be an authentic reflection of life at home with your newborn baby. They are relaxed and stress free and it really is a time for you to enjoy and look back on with fond memories. The best thing about these newborn photography sessions is that they are so timeless too. This means they will never date, because love and connection is always in fashion! If you're interested in booking a newborn photography lifestyle session, please drop me an email via the contact form to check my availability around your due date.

  • Matilda's Natural Newborn Baby Photo Shoot, Romford

This is one of my favourite newborn sessions ever! Matilda is just a perfect little bundle! She was amazing during the session and slept the whole time. She was just 7 days old and it was an absolute pleasure to document such a special family photo shoot. Here are some beautiful and kind words from Matilda's Mum, Charlotte about her natural newborn photography session with me: "I loved how relaxed it was and I loved that it was at our home! This is my first baby and it just took me forever to get her ready let alone myself! I hadn't even let friends round at this point so I was so nervous about having you come to the house! I was really worried about the session and how I'd manage to time the feeding etc to make sure she was settled for the photos. I appreciated how patient you were with me and you didn't make me feel rushed. It was very relaxed and I'm so glad that we got those precious newborn photos as she's changed so much! I loved that you came to our house, a few friends have had newborn sessions at studios and in that first week I just wasn't ready to leave the house, I'm so so grateful that you came to us! You have a lovely calm and relaxed style. I think that anyone with a newborn baby would appreciate that you photograph the baby at home, it just takes so much pressure off of the couple as leaving the house with a newborn isn't easy! Everyone who has seen our thank you cards comments on how beautiful they are and we've even had a few people cry when they open them! I wish I'd found you before I got married because all of your photos are so beautiful!" Here are some of my favourite photographs from this natural photo shoot at home...

  • Natural Family Photo Shoot at home

I absolutely LOVED meeting this little cutie Selma! Isn't she just perfect?! Vicki and Simon wanted a really natural photo shoot of them at home together as a family. This is my favourite kind of family photography session to capture! A lifestyle photography session is so real and really documents a slice of life at home- especially at such a cheeky age for Selma. We photographed around the house in various rooms, with the family doing everyday things that they would normally do. Lots of cuddles and kisses and playing with Selma. It was also a great opportunity for me to capture some family memories in their wonderful home before they move onto the next home in their lives. Vicki mentioned that they were planning to sell as they needed a bigger space now that Selma is growing up. Vicki is so creative and the house was decorated just beautifully so it was the perfect opportunity to document all the little details and create some invaluable memories for them in this beloved home. Even though Selma was not feeling 100% on the day of the shoot we managed to photograph some truly beautiful moments! You can never predict how little ones are going to be on the day but we are always able to capture something special. After the session, Vicki selected some images that she wanted to decorate the home with. I had some bespoke multi-frames made for her and we created some amazing art pieces to decorate the home with their family memories. It was such a pleasure to capture this lifestyle family photography session for such a wonderful family and I am so glad I got to meet them all. Selma is a absolute darling and I hope to see her again in the future. Here are some of my fav photographs from this lifestyle family photography session..

  • Lucy and Phil's Informal Wedding at Home, Romford

I was really looking forward to capturing Lucy and Phil's early Spring wedding at Langtons House in Essex. They got married at Langtons and then went on to their family home where they had put tons of effort into setting up a beautiful marquee for their guests. I just loved all the little details and the informal feel of the whole day. It meant everything to Lucy and Phil for this day to be relaxed and fun for them, their 5 beautiful children and all their guests, and it was just perfect! I had just a blast being there with them and capturing some truly special moments that they will cherish forever. Here are a few of my favourites from their wedding story... • Summer Wedding at Poundon House - Nalinie & Chris

I first met Nalinie and Chris at another wedding I was photographing last year. After seeing their friends images from the day, they decided they wanted the same relaxed and informal style of photography for their day too. So they got in touch and decided to book me for their summer wedding at Poundon House in Bicester! I was so excited about their plans for the day as they were having not one but 2 ceremonies! A Hindu ceremony for the morning and then a civil ceremony for the afternoon. So, there was a lot going on- including 3 outfit changes and 320 guests! WOW. The venue was looking stunning and despite a cloudy start to the day- the sun came out and it was another scorcher. I cannot believe how chilled Nal was all morning! There was so much going on- but all of their friends and family were amazing and helped out massively with all the preparations. This being the first Hindu wedding I have ever photographed, I was stunned by all the beautiful colours and gorgeous outfits everyone had on. Nalinie looked incredible in her first red and gold outfit and I couldn't wait to see her entrance and experience my first Hindu ceremony- which was beautiful and so lovely to be a part of. Afterwards there was a great Indian buffet lunch, then Nal and Chris went to get changed for the second ceremony of the day! Whilst guests played garden games and enjoyed the sunshine. Again Nalinie looked simply stunning in her elegant white gown, and Chris didn't scrub up too bad either! ;) Chris's very talented sister Sarah made all the floral creations for the day which were so, so pretty. After the civil ceremony, drinks and canapés flowed and everyone enjoyed the scorcher of a day in the gardens at Poundon House. It was incredibly relaxed and such a nice atmosphere to be around. An indian buffet dinner was served and after the speeches the party began! What an incredible day to have been a part of. Thank you so much Nalinie and Chris for having us and making us feel so welcome all day. We loved every second of capturing your perfect day! Thanks to Emma Gosling for being an awesome second Photographer again :) White Dress: Phase Eight Hair & Make up: Claire Nicole Menswear: Walker Slater Florist: Sarah Hogan Cake: Paola Rodriguez Caterers: Ragasaan DJ: Sound Bookings

  • Sarah and Jeff's Barn Wedding in Essex

Sarah and Jeff got married at Ye Olde Plough House in June 2016. It was another gorgeous, summer day which was amazing as the Olde Plough has such great grounds for the wedding guests to enjoy. The ceremony took place outdoors but the bride and groom have to stand under the canopy at this particular venue as this is the part that is licensed for marriage. It was so nice to have the whole thing outdoors on such a beautiful summer wedding day. The gardens at Ye olde Plough House are particularly great if you have a lot of children at the wedding, like Sarah and Jeff. The kids absolutely loved running around playing outside and they are never too far for their parents to keep sight of them. They also had an afternoon kids entertainer, who made them cool balloons and had them doing lots of fun activities to keep them occupied after dinner. We had so much fun capturing Sarah and Jeff's couples portraits. They are so chilled and enjoyed a bit of downtime to themselves before heading back to the wedding party. The bride and group photos are a great opportunity for the couple to actually spend some time together on the wedding day and have a chat about all thats gone all already that day. You'll be surprised that you don't actually get a lot of time to this throughout the day, so its a great opportunity and a good excuse for 10 minutes alone. Sarah and Jeff are two of the most kind and fun people I have been lucky enough to work with. I cannot believe it's almost been a year since I photographed their wedding celebrations! I am looking forward to working at this stunning barn venue again this Spring. Here are just a few images from their big day...

  • Wedding at Cooling Castle Barn, Rochester

I absolutely LOVE Cooling Castle Barn! It's a gorgeous barn venue situated in Rochester in Kent and has some incredible castle turrets right by the entrance, which is where it gets it's name from. Spring is my favourite time of year here because theres so much blossom and prettiness around the grounds. However it looks stunning all year round! The ceremony barn is so beautiful and the old beams and brickwork are just gorgeous. They have recently added the Moat House which is a beautiful bright and airy room which is perfect for bridal preparations. It's so much easier for you to get ready on-site and you can make sure is everything is good to go on the day. There is also plenty of room for your guests to stay on-site which is always important when planning a wedding. For your bride and groom portraits there is plenty of opportunity. Usually we go for a wander around the gardens and photograph locations depending on the light that day and what works best. The castle turrets is a must have photo with the bride and groom and there is also the file just across the road from the venue which can also make a really nice shot. The reception barn is breath taking when it's all decorated for the wedding day. The food is also delicious! And the party kicks off in the same room which works really well. Usually your guests will mingle in the gardens while the room is turned around for the first dance. The in house toastmaster is so lovely and super helpful which leaves you stress free knowing that he is taking care of everything while you enjoy the day with your guests. I always love working at Cooling Castle, it's such a welcoming place and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Here are a few photos from Becca and Tom's Spring wedding at Cooling Castle...

  • Winter Wedding at Leez Priory in Chelmsford

I photographed this gorgeous Leez Priory wedding back in November. Scott and Kathryn chose this stunning Tudor manor house as the backdrop for their winter wedding. I always love photographing at Leez Priory. It's such a beautiful Chelmsford wedding venue and is so well looked after. The staff here are always so welcoming and friendly too, which really makes a difference! Kathryn looked simply incredible in her wedding gown. It's such a simple and elegant design and the absolute perfect fit for her. They married in the Great Hall, upstairs at Leez Priory which is a characterful room with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and feature fireplace. The weather for Scott and Kathryn's winter wedding was a beautifully clear day but absolutely freezing! haha. Despite the crisp winter weather it was totally worth spending some time outdoors to capture some gorgeous images of the lovely Scott and Kathryn in the grounds of Leez Priory. Scott and Kathryn decided to go with a London theme for their wedding reception decor. They both live and work in London and Scott even proposed to Kathryn near St Paul's Cathedral, so this was the perfect theme for them. For the evening reception, they had a steel band playing which was AWESOME and such a nice touch of culture to add from Kathryn's side of her Caribbean family. This really got the party going and everyone was o the dance floor from then on. I had such a great time photographing such a genuine, fun couple at such a fantastic Chelmsford wedding venue. I cannot wait to work back at Leez Priory again in the near future. You can also check out Scott and Kathryn's London engagement photography session here too. Here are just a few of my favourite wedding photographs from this gorgeous winter wedding at Leez Priory...

  • Aimee & Rob's Winter Wedding at Gayne's Park, Epping

I was so excited to be photographing Aimee and Rob's big day at the stunning Gayne's Park in Epping. I haven't worked at Gaynes in such a long time and it's one of my favourite venues so this was definitely something I was looking forward to! And as always, the venue and gorgeous grounds didn't disappoint, even at the height of winter, it's just as stunning as summer time! When I met Aimee and Rob last year I knew we would get along great straight away. They are such a genuine, laid back couple and I could tell instantly they are just perfect for each other. On the morning of the wedding, I've never seen such a chilled out bride with 7 bridesmaids!??! Aimee was looking absolutely stunning in her Morilee wedding gown and all her winter details. The bridesmaids wore purple to match the colour theme of the wedding. They also had touches of a Harry Potter theme which worked great with the table plan and settings. The ceremony was beautiful and emotional and it was really a special time to document. I feel so lucky to be a part of these moments at all of the weddings I photograph, but I really felt touched during Aimee and Rob's vows. For the bride and groom photos we went for a walk together and really made the most of the grounds and views around Gaynes Park. It was absolutely freezing in the mid-February chill but so worth it! It was treat to work with Aimee and Rob and allow them some time together after the whirlwind morning they'd had. During the reception, the couple also had a FANTASTIC magician- Spencer Wood to entertain their guests. His work is mind-blowing and really something to witness. It's been such a treat getting to know Aimee and Rob in the run up to their wedding and it was an amazing celebration to document for them. I hope we keep in touch and I wish you all the best for your happy marriage together. Here are some of my favourite moments from the wedding day.
