Nestled in the heart of Suffolk, Butley Priory offers the perfect backdrop for a romantic and relaxed wedding. With its stunning historic architecture, lush gardens, and serene atmosphere, it’s a venue that effortlessly blends elegance with charm. For Laura & Ben, their late September wedding at Butley Priory was nothing short of magical—bathed in warm Autumn sunshine, it was a day that radiated love, joy, and timeless beauty. A day full of the most beautiful moments of love and connection and one that I will cherish forever.
The soft glow of the Autumn sun lit up the venue, casting a golden hue over the celebration. The day was crisp yet warm and glowy, the air filled with the scent of the changing season, making it feel like the perfect setting for an Autumnal wedding at Butley Priory. The couple chose a colour palette of muted pinks, deep wine tones, and soft peaches, creating a stunning contrast against the natural stone textures of the venue. The soft autumnal hues brought an elegant, and romantic vibe to the day, perfectly complementing the rustic charm of the Priory.
From the delicate floral arrangements to the elegant table settings, every detail was thoughtfully curated to evoke the warmth and romance of the season and the couple’s personal style. The bridal party’s attire mirrored the colours of the palette, with bridesmaids wearing a beautiful combination of different dresses in varying shades and tones and the groomsmen in classic black tie. It was a look that felt both soft and sophisticated—just right for an autumn celebration.
At Butley Priory you are spoiled with the spacious light filled rooms for both the bride and groom to get ready in. The historic windows are incredible and created the most magical setting to start Laura and Ben’s day.
There were so many emotional, heart-warming moments throughout Laura and Ben’s celebration. The ceremony was particularly heartfelt, and the speeches were just perfect. So many sincere and magical moments captured and the beauty of their connection is clear to see. It was a truly special occasion shared, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
