I had been looking forward to Melissa and Mark's wedding FOREVER!! I knew when I met them for their inquiry meeting well over a year ago that we would get on just perfectly. Mel and Mark are so much fun and I love being around them. I knew when they wanted to do their pre-wedding session at Hampstead Heath in the snow, and when all my other clients had cancelled due to the weather, that they would be an absolute ball on the day! They are so much fun to be around and nothing phases them. Mel is the happiest and most positive person I think I've ever met. They both constantly have smiles on their faces and the wedding couldn't have been a more joyous and fun occasion.
I absolutely loved meeting Mel's family. From the moment we arrived for bridal preparations in the morning, they were so welcoming and kind, and so excited for Mel and Mark's big day.
Mark was an absolute sweetie and sent Mel a beautiful pair of Tiffany earrings on the morning as well as a huge bunch of flowers. Mark you absolute softie!
At the church, Mark was feeling a bit nervous, but as soon as he saw Mel walking down that aisle he couldn't wipe the smile off his face.
Afterwards, the wedding reception took place at Sopwell House in St Albans and the weather was perfect for everyone to chill in the sun and enjoy the gardens.
During the speeches Mark's two best men and best friends absolutely ripped into him! Haha Poor Mark had to listen to their jokes about him being boring as hell for a good few minutes. It was a great start to the evening though and everyone enjoyed their delicious Turkish dinner and returned to the gardens for an evening chilling in the sun before the party kicked off.
On such a scorcher of a day, it was nice to go out after dinner with the couple once the temperature had cooled a little to get some natural portraits with them. The sun had lowered and the evening light was just beautiful. These two are so much fun to be around- I think you can tell from just these few photos how happy they are together and how much love they have for each other. Their laughter is so infectious and we had the best time with them.
The first dance kicked off the evening shenanigans and the Turkish dancing began! I think it's safe to say the Turkish know how to party! Everyone was up dancing and I absolutely loved seeing the traditional dancing. It was the prefect start to what I have no doubt was an incredible evening of fun, friends, family and love.
Thank you Mel and Mark for having me. You two are my absolute favs! I've loved getting to know you and I hope to see you again in the future. I cannot waaaait to share more with you from this epic, chilled summer wedding at Sopwell House.
