Wedding Photography at The Old Parish Rooms, Rayleigh, Essex
Geneviéve and Jim got married at the Old Parish Rooms in Rayleigh, Essex on a beautiful sunny Sunday on 1st May 2016. It's the first time I've had the pleasure of working at the Old Parish Rooms and I must say, it's a beautiful little venue. Very quirky with some gorgeous original features of the school house, combined with a fresh modern touch.
Geneviéve and Jim were very much interested in a documentary style photographer for their wedding as they are not big fans of posing. They decided to go for minimal group shots and then left me to capture their day as it unfolded, which I LOVED! It's so nice to have a couple trust me so much with their wedding day and allow me the freedom to capture it in such a real way.
I absolutely loved Geneviéve's knee-length dress and her Rock and Roll style with her stunning Manolo Blahnik electric blue shoes and bright red lipstick. She looked absolutely stunning!! Geneviéve had also put a lot of effort into all the little details for the day including hand-made bunting and lots of absolutely beautiful spring flowers by Courts of Rayleigh Florist. They also had a not-so traditional run-of-the-day and decided to take all of their guests on a bus ride around town after the ceremony, with drinks and canopies on board!
As their beloved Labrador Zara made a feature appearance in their engagement session, I think it was only right she made a quick appearance at the wedding too! Zara is such a treat to work with, so well behaved and made she definitely made Geneviéve and Jim's day by being there.
Thank you Geneviéve and Jim for having me share your special day with you both! It was an absolute treat and you are both so easy to work with and so much fun to be around. It was a true pleasure :)
Here are some highlights from the day...
