Spring Wedding at The Fennes, Braintree, Essex
I was lucky enough work back at the Fennes in Bocking, Essex in April to photograph Michelle and Ben's spring wedding. The Fennes is a gorgeous Georgian manor house venue set in the Essex countryside and the interior of the house is richly decorated in a traditional and exquisite style. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and the staff are so welcoming at this venue. I always enjoy working here.
Spring is one of my favourite times of year to photograph but the weather can be a little unpredictable at times! The great thing about the Fennes is that the interior of the house is so beautiful that it really doesn't matter too much if it rains as there's so much photographic opportunity inside anyway. We managed to capture 10 minutes of beautiful sunshine in between the showers and we wouldn't have had it any other way.
Michelle looked absolutely gorgeous in her sweet heart neck, Sophia Tolli dress and Ben was looking very dapper in his Ted Baker suit from Moss Bros. I loved that it was an intimate wedding with a small number of guests and the vibe all day was so relaxed and fun. They went for a very simple ivory colour scheme with a hint of gold which I loved. Simple colour schemes always work the best!
I love that you can throw confetti inside at the Fennes. It creates such an atmospheric look with the backlight of the windows behind and the guests absolutely love it. It also means that the confetti doesn't blow away rather than falling over the bride and groom! haha
I can't wait to work back at the Fennes again soon! I have another wedding there in October and I'm looking forward to seeing the change of season around the grounds. For now, here are some of my favourite moments from Ben and Michelle's Spring wedding at the Fennes.
